Do girls not realize that many of us are kind of obsessed with anime girls because we love them both so very much? Now to be fair the anime girls tend to be portrayed idealistic and wife material (you can see that by the creation of the "waifu" term). Still we don't want to be telling our fellow brothers "she's not yours. it's just your turn" with good intentions.

As someone that's a big anime fan and used to have anime crushes; I get it. But I also realize that the reason we idolize and crush on said characters is because they're literally drawn to be perfect. Humans are not.

Because, they are idealized versions of people. Unfortunately, even if a woman checks off all or most of your list, they can change in any of those or all. We aren't like fiction. I have characters I like, in various mediums, but I understand that reality.
