I think being obvious is the best move and by this point he probably already seen it. I know it’s scary. Don’t hide you like someone. If he doesn’t get the point just be direct about it.

If he likes you back. You wouldn’t want him moving on. Interest can come and go. It can also be sparked if it isn’t there at the time.

In the worst case senario he rejects tou. You have closure. You won’t wonder what it could have been. You aren’t wasting time on someone who will never make a move. The list goes on. You won’t create this fantasy to get heartbroken later on when he finds someone else.
