Is it childish to delete your message you sent to someone because they read it and didn’t respond?

I've never deleted a text message from an actual person. I only delete spam messages. I know people that delete all messages at the end of the day, and I knew two people who deleted messages as soon as they read them. I can't really imagine ever thinking someone was childish or not for that, because I can't imagine a real-world situation where I'd put that much thought into it.

Everything's relative. I can't give you a blanket yes or no answer to this because of the MANY potential factors. Is he just an a**hole? On the polar opposite side is she ridiculously clingy? Or is it somewhere in between the two extremes. This affects the answer.

Rule of thumb I NEVER give a woman anymore effort than she's willing to put into me. I know that'll turn some women off. That's ok! Those women are not a match for me.👍

Be reasonable. And NEVER beg ANYONE (male or female) to be or stay in your life. That's my take. Life is short. Surround yourself with people who want to be there. If they don't it BETTER to be single I say.

I suppose, but I just do not see the point in deleting your message. Stand by what you said and don't double back. There is nothing to be embarassed about. If they end up texting you later and realized they forgot to respond, then they'll respond to what you said.

So honestly... I think we have all dealt with this. I mean you text them and then a few days later no reply. But every time you open your phone you see their name in your message, and it reminds you that they blow you off and ghosted. So, yes, I just delete the messages... I do not block them though. I do not block them, because if they ever did come back to me later... I might try to work it into sex. But until then I do not need to see their unanswered messages.

Sometimes messages don't require a reply. When my parents are out I text them to let them know if our dog is inside or outside so they know whether or not it's safe to open our garage door. My girlfriend texts me when she's coming home from work. None of these necessitate a response

I deleted a message to a guy who ghosted me for 2 weeks, then sent a ‘hello xxxx’ message out of the blue! I responded and he read it but ignored me! If he doesn’t want the message I’ll take it away, I’m not leaving it hanging there 😂
