True. Empathy is a character trait not dependent on gender.
Most humans are not empathetic. Most people are selfish.

I think women are more empathic than him because society show more empathy towards women like when they're young and cry they get consoled while boy just get told that they shouldn't cry cause they're boys and should be grown up same when they get sexually assaulted society don't show much empathy to them and instead mock them so it's possible men are as empathic as women but because of different upbringing (no empathy show to them or less) they become less empathic ass adult.
We can't know for sure though cause I don't know a countries that are as empathic toward little boys as they're towards little girls.
I have no idea but I have to wonder sometimes with all the Qs from women on the site like:
- What does it mean when a guy smiles at me while talking?
- What does it mean when a guy asks me how I'm doing?
- What does it mean when a guy says I'd look good in a swimsuit?
- What does it mean when a guy looks at me and then looks away?
- What does it mean when a guy crosses his arms?
- What does it mean when a guy's mouth forms an upside-down U shape? [okay, I made this one up]
- How do I know if I love my boyfriend?
I'm hoping it's just this site since most women I meet in person aren't so out of touch with their emotions and so empathetically confused. Yet I have to wonder sometimes. 😅
"What does it mean when a man gets on his knee and proposes to me? Does he want to marry me or something else? He's been saying he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me. He always smiles when he says that. What does that mean? What do men mean when they smile? Are they happy or is it something else? Is it like they're trying to tell me something? He likes to wear blue shirts by the way and he's a Leo. Does that make any difference? What does a man in a blue shirt who is Leo mean when he asks me to marry him? Is he calling me fat?"
On average, maybe not (pretty heavily debated in science). In practice, yeah. Individual differences far outweigh average trends of empathy and emotional capacity. As an example, maybe you're more likely to see a slightly larger number of empathetic comments posted by women on average, but two empathetic comments made by a man and a woman are likely to show no discernible difference in the quality or quantity of empathy.
Those who are physically weakest in a situation rely on having a better understanding of that situation in order to navigate it. And understanding what other people are thinking, which can be inferred from an understanding of what they are feeling, is part of "the situation." It happens that women are physically weaker on average. Men can be weaker than other men, of course, which is probably why empathy in men is often associated with being physically dominated and by extension gay.
I think they're definitely less empathetic than men, but I also think they should be, because if a woman shows any compassion whatsoever for a loser she's just rejected, he may misinterpret it as her being attracted to him.
Ha!
That is funny.
