Why would a coworker who hates you sneakily follow you around?

I have a female coworker that seems to hate me from the very beginning. While being friendly and smiley with everyone else, she would be annoyed when she sees me and actively avoid eye contact (only with me) in the rare cases I ask her something. When she enters the lab and sees me she would say something like „yeah right“ as if I’ve previously done something to annoy her. She would also look over her shoulder when I walk past her as if she is hiding something and lately I feel like she is following me around at work. Since we hardly know each other my first guess is that she is afraid I might snitch on her and her extramarital affair with my „supervisor“ who happens to dislike me too and also teases me from time to time. But if that is the case, why would she snoop around and why would she actively dislike me if everyone else already knows about their „secret“ since I’m the newest one there?

Why does she target me and not the other girl in my department? I know that she has female friends at work so it’s not like she wants every one out. And also do you think it has to do with her affair or not?

And what kind of dirt are they trying to dig? I don’t steal, I never damaged anything and I certainly don’t sleep around. In fact I keep to myself more than anyone else in this office

No she recently moved to our department but she hated me from day one. The only person we both know is my supervisor who happens to be her extramarital affair
