Why do people think you are bold if you dance on the bar?

I love being on top of people, that’s why I danced on the bar, not because I am bold or super confident

But people be watching my videos and telling me

“Wow, I’d have to get wasted to get the guts to do the same “ and so on

A bar I frequented when I turned 21, way back in around the 2010 time period (I'll be 35 on Tuesday), closed down recently. I was bummed but well, bars and lots of places are struggling these days, after covid to survive because noone wants to work (unfortunately). The bar was not set up for dancing but it did sort of have a little platform where you could, I guess. One time when I went, there was a party going on, for a girls birthday. My friends and I, who generally don't dance (except for one of them) decided to do so. The girl's birthday party came over to us, and started dancing with us. At one point, the birthday girl came over to me, and she said "thanks for dancing with us, our boyfriends wouldn't". I wasn't trying to get their boyfriend's in trouble, I just thought I'd get up and dance. Why that day, I don't know, and it had NOTHING to do with the birthday. I don't know if this helps answer your question but thought I'd write it.

I don't really go to bars anymore, myself, unless it's the strip club. I'm single, still, at 35

I " raged in the cage " in Myrtle beach and it was great , changed the complete demographic, and thought " I'm not coming all the way and not dancing in the cage " ..
It was a big metal. construction. above the dance floor , that you had to climb a ladder to., it was an unwritten law , that this was for the beautiful and professional dancers - nup , Fck that ! ha
It's actually quite an experience, so many then followed me up , my problem was getting out of the cage an hour later.

I think that actually is super confident. Confident to me is not thinking we're great but just not caring if we get rejected or booed off the stage.

It's like a confident Karaoke singer who can sing in front of complete strangers isn't necessarily someone who thinks they're a good singer. They might even think or even know they're a bad one. They just don't worry about the consequences so they get up on the stage and sing and have a great time.

depends on what you are wearing, if its a short dress or mini skirt then that does give guys a more intimate view being above them so that semi exhibitionist act might be the "bold" part people are talking about
