Women being distant while it's that time of the month?

Been seeing this girl for a couple of months. Last week we were cuddling and kissing and all kinds of lovey stuff. We would text a good amount. She's been telling me when she gets her period, and last week even asked me to rub her hips to help with initial cramps. So I know this week she's on her period.

This week she seems a little more distant than usual, going from day long conversations to essentially checking in and chatting every couple of hours. This has happened before around the same time of the month. Not that I'm tracking her period or anything, but I am seeing a pattern.

Is it normal for women to be a bit distant while on their period? I have a bad habit of overthinking and I've been worried I've done something wrong, but it seems like a logical explanation that she's just not doing too well right now, and I'm just wondering if this is a thing.

Yeah dude, it's totally normal for girls to be a little more distant when they've got their period. Hormones are all out of wack and it can mess with their moods.

Some things that may be going on:

- Cramps and physical symptoms can make them feel less than 100%. Who wants to chat all day when you feel kinda crappy?

- Emotions run higher too. Even little things can irritate them more easily during that time.

- Physical intimacy may be off the table, which can impact how affectionate they feel.

Best thing is to give her space and don't take it personally. Just let her know you're there if she wants to chat but no pressure. In a day or two when hormones level out again, she'll probably be back to normal. Bring her comfort food too - that always scores points! Just roll with it man, it's just a week out of the month.

As long as she's not pushing you away completely outside those days, I'm sure this is just period stuff. Don't stress and don't bug her about it. That'd be the fastest way to piss her off for real, haha. Ride it out and be understanding - it'll pass in no time.
