Girls, How do you feel when talking to autistic guys in person?

It depends. I work with two guys who speak a little more directly than most (and have documented autism), I I try to match how direct they are so we can follow through on tasks and projects. I know that sometimes an answer will come super quickly and sometimes it takes a beat — one guy has a routine to process complicated questions then comes back and does a great job. So… patience is key.


It’s a little easier to chat in person than online (wo visual cues to let you know they need the extra time).
