Be completely honest, would you interact with an autistic person?

Okay so I am autistic and I’ve been disliked and bullied for it. Left out and forgotten. I know most people would NOT interact with an autistic person because they’re different and…. whatever. Let’s face the facts. They don’t. Sometimes when someone I meet is interested in talking to me sometimes I find it hard to believe because I don’t know if they really like talking to me or just pretending to like me or just trying to be nice to me because I have a disability. I personally don’t like telling anyone that I have autism because I’m afraid that they’re going to treat me differently or completely stop speaking to me. That’s happened so many times. One of my coworkers found our I’m autistic and now she doesn’t really speak or wanna interact with me anymore. She only gives me one work answering and walks quickly to talk to others.

Yes, really. I would. I'm not just saying that to be nice.

I know sometimes there can be social complications or misunderstandings between autistic people and non-autistic people (depending on the two individuals), especially when things like tone and body language aren't present for text-based communications. But none of that deters me.
