Girls, Period question, how do you exclusively use tampons?

Like is that a thing? As a pad user like... it's not just blood ladies, there's lots of tissue and goopy things. Whenever my sisters in law need period products at my house they're disappointed everytime I say I only have pads. Like they'd rather drive back to their home and bleed over their clothes than wear a pad. But like what's that little tampon going to catch? Some blood and that's it, right? Wouldn't you need a pad and a tampon anyways? Am I missing out? I know tmi, but I've just got to know about tampons 😂

There is so much that doesn't make any sense. What do you mean by "But like what's that little tampon going to catch?". Do you not at your age understand how a tampon works? I think you need to do some googling or maybe sit in on a 5th grade girls class when all the boys went outside and we learned about this stuff about our bodies. Next thing is I have never once met a girl that would bleed all over her underwear instead of using what was available. My first couple of days are a pretty regular flow so I use a tampon. I use pads the rest of the time typically. If I had no tampons I'd use whatever the hell was available. Pads... damn toilet paper as a last resort. Yeah been there done that. I call bs on a girl driving home with nothing to get a tampon when there were pads available.

Dang I guess everyone has strong feelings about period products. Well yeah I know the string absorbs blood, but I get a lot of uterine lining that falls out, so to me it seems impractical. But I guess what I'm getting at is does the tampon keep all the uterine tissue from falling out and then when you remove the product it all falls out or? It seems to me the solids would fall out around the tampon while the liquid is absorbed. As for my sisters in law I couldn't tell you 😅 maybe they figure if they already bled through, it's already ruined. Might as well just go home and change. High maintenance, I'd just use toilet paper too if I was in dire need

Women who tend to use tampons mainly have lighter periods on average. And no, you don’t need a pad and tampon if you change it consistently. I have lighter periods so for the first day or so of my cycle I wear a pad for the heavy part then tampons the rest of the days.
Pads just feel, bulky for most women. Like an adult diaper. Also notably hard to wear to women who wear thongs. Tampons are just easier to deal with. They obviously work pretty well since they’ve been around for as long as they have, right? Not sure why you think they wouldn’t work. While I do think it’s a bit silly to refuse a pad if a tampon isn’t an option (which isn’t common, your in-laws just sound dumb) we all have different cycle types.

You don't need a pad with a tampon, so long as you choose the correct absorbency for your flow, and change it as you need to (typically every 4 to 6 hours)
The good thing about tampons is 1) you cannot feel it, 2) it's just as absorbent as a pad and there is no dripping feeling, as it absorbed internally. 3) you can swim and do activities without worrying about the pad moving / shifting, or leaking. 4) tampons are smaller, they are easy to use once you get the hang of it, and they also catch the "gloop". 5) tampons also do not smell, like a pad does!

Once you find the best brand you like and start using them, practice makes perfect! You can pop it in and go, there's no noisy crunching when you walk like with a pad, no show through pad lines in skinny jeans if you're wearing a longer pad, and no blood odour as the tampon is internal, so you don't have blood pooling onto an external pad, which can be smelly (even if YOU do not smell it)

If you are talking about clots then those either stick to the tampon or fall in the toilet

I hate wearing pads soo much since my flow is heavy and only use tampons besides for after birth bleeding since pads are required for those 6 weeks

I have a really really heavy flow so just wearing a pad is a death sentence. If I’m unprepared and there are only pads available I’d take the pad and go home to put in a tampon, otherwise I’d bleed everywhere with just the pad.

Tampons are great for girlies like me with heavy flows. I don’t exclusively wear tampons, I have to double team since my tampons fill so fast. On the last 2 days of my period I wear pads since it’s lighter.
