So one of my exes came up to me and asked me who I wanted to be friends with because I was flirting with her friends, and her friend came up and asked me for a phone charger. Why would she ask me that?

As for why she asked who you want to be friends with, my guess is she's feeling threatened. Even though you guys broke up, she still sees you as "hers" in a way and doesn't want to lose her claim on you. Asking like that is her weird way of marking her territory I think.

I'd just play it cool man. Let her know you care about both her and her friend, but you're not trying to disrespect her or anything. Say you want to be friends with everyone, no need to pick sides. Just keep it light and don't fuel the drama. Her emotions are her own problem, you know?
