Why isn’t a guy taking his shirt off seen as sexual?

So I just came from a video of this girl shopping at the grocery store she is a fitness influencer and she was wearing a sports bra and some shorts but like the compression gym shorts girls wear. Typical gym fit but she looks damn good long curly hair skinny but definitely nice booty and her fit definitely accentuates those features. But the hate of seen in the comments is kinda nuts but this isn’t just from her video in gym culture in general I’ve been seeing some discourse on what girls wear to the gym now from guys. And to a degree I get it there are girls who do it for attention then turn around a call guys per a for even glancing in their direction joeyswoll is doing the lords work tho. But I don’t think that means just cause a girl wears gym fit that makes her look remotely good that she’s seeking attention or wearing revealing clothing meant to be sexual. I never here talk this when dudes walk around shirtless or wear G strings for shirts in the gym and they are l clearly doing that for attention or body builders that are basically naked when they get on stage but we understand that is to show off you’re body if you work hard and wanna show it off that’s fine doesn’t make you a hoe or weird and you’re allowed to do that guy or girl. I feel like it’s a classic case of hating on someone else’s success, it’s like when people’s bash other people’s physique cause they don’t look as good like why are you hating what good reason do you have you know? There isn’t one it’s just hate to hate cause you don’t like there other persons doing better.

Personally, I think it depends on the situation.

When I workout and wear a tank top, or stringer tank, or a tank with large armholes so my sides show, I'm just wearing something comfortable to workout in. So I don't really see that as "sexual." Because yea my body is showing, but its for a good reason, I stay cooler and my arms have more range of motion.

But I've got shirts that show off my body that I would say are sexual. They are sheer and completely see through. You can see my entire chest through the shirt, so its basically being shirtless. in my opinion, shirts like that are clearly meant to be sexual, cause clearly we are trying to show off our body for the purpose of turning people on.

Honestly, I'd even say me going shirtless is sexual, since even if I'm doing it to stay cool, its still something that can cause sexual feelings for other people if they see it and they are attracted to you.

So I can definitely agree with women about that being a double standard, cause I know girls that have worn things that show less than I do, and they have gotten run down because of it. If its fine for us guys to wear stuff like that, it should be fine for girls too.

There are rules for men and women we all have to adhere to. If you try and break those rules, you have to expect blowback..
I'm not saying it's wrong to change them, or even to WANT to change them, but when you're among the first to do so. The masses will give you grief for it! It's just how things are, and will always be, and of course if ONE person calls them out, you're guaranteed there will be others jumping on the bandwagon!

I honestly don't subscribe to that nonsense though. and I've never been one to care about making comments that other people do not agree with either.. I have my own mind and I'm not scared to voice it!

When I was 12 there was a cute boy 13 mowing the lawn next door. I made him some lemonade and brought it out to him. I told him he looked hot he was sweating from the heat. I was staring at his bellybutton and I was so embarrassed!! I was only 12 never talked with a boy that was shirtless before. Looking back now I guess it was just cute 😆

Because people see that as normal. Guys do not wear shirts at times when working outside in the hot sun or on a beach. I think women should be allowed to do the same but that will never happen.
