Ladies, why are most women fond of gay men?

All the girls I’ve been friends with always liked me despite my orientation. I was very thankful.

I am going to make a generalization here. I think in general women are more accepting of other sexual orientations that men are. Men or so I noticed a lot of times are very against anything other than heterosexual people even if their paths don't cross or their lives aren't impacted. Some will even make up reasons to say they have had bad experiences. I think there are less women like that. Even women that don't agree with gay, bi, whatever mostly then just ignore it. I'm bi myself and so I'd be quite the hypocrite for shaming a guy for a different sexual orientation. Even if I wasn't I wouldn't care. I worry about my own life and judge the quality of a friendship with someone not on their sexuality.

Hang in there. You need to be comfortable with you. If that means confiding in girls that support you then so be it. 💜

It’s sometimes easier to open up to a gay friend bc there’s a “zero stakes” capacity to share feelings. Removing potential mating/dating from the guy-girl equation SO COMPLETELY makes it easier to ask for a guy’s perspective on things wo chagrin/anxiety, allowing candid advice to be offered (that would normally be rejected as possibly sexually-charged feedback from a straight guy/potential partner).


(Not all gay guys are open to this — some get catty about it and I’ve seen a lot of women lose their gay guy friend to SOs/partners — so it’s important to gauge the situation and to be clear about sharing/time capacities.)

I miss my gay best mate so much!!! I love having that male energy around but as others said no complication of him getting romantic feelings for you that's gonna mess up the close friendship bond! And feel safe that other guys won't approach you (can be a problem tho if you want to be approached haha)

And it's awesome you can speak to a guy about other guys and yet also still get a male perspective!

We just simply feel safer. It’s like having a male around you so you feel protected and not everyone can just reach out to you. And bonus fact that they aren’t attracted to you

This is just my perspective. Even though I’m gay I can still see the beauty of a woman and appreciate it. However, I don’t want to get with her. Make sense?
