I saw this pic of this girl from my old group at school on instagram and I’ve felt butterflies in my stomach like I felt smitten, why?

Woah dude, that's crazy. I know exactly what you mean though - sometimes you just see someone and all those feelings come rushing back.

A few things that could be happening:

- Your brain is remembering all the good times you had with her back in the day and nostalgia is hitting hard. Old memories can feel intense.

- Even if you never actually dated, you might have secretly had a crush on her back in school that you never fully got over.

- It's possible she reminded you of a "type" you're really into physically. Like damn, puberty was reaaal good to her!

- Or maybe you're just lonely right now and your brain latched onto the first pretty girl it saw. We've all been there man.

I wouldn't read too much into it if it was just a brief feeling. But if you can't stop thinking about her, maybe send her a casual "hey, how's it going?" to catch up. You never know, the timing could be right this time around!

Just play it cool, don't spill all your feelings yet. Feel it out first - then you can decide if you wanna pursue something or let the nostalgia fade. You got this bro!
