Do you find that timid girls are friendlier and even better looking than the "popular" girls?

Not necessarily the nerdy variety. Just normal looking quiet girls. The ones that may look unfriendly, but are in fact very sweet and talkative once you get to know them. They are generally lonely too.

The popular 10/10s look like they try too hard, get way too much attention, too many likes from guys, and are very pompous.

Absolutely not. My experience is that timid girls are way more headache to deal with. It's just not worth the effort. They're about the same level of attractiveness as the popular girls, but difficult to get to know because their shyness creates pointless barriers and difficult communication.

Not in any direct sense. But timid girls tend to be a bit more malleable which is something a lot of guys are attracted to.

It is. But that doesn't mean it's wrong - it could be that whatever situation the stereotype was based on hasn't changed much. Or maybe it has. I don't know..

But I do think guys almost unanimously want women to be malleable in some ways. What those ways are for each guy probably has something to do with their relationship with their mother or whatever, but I don't even really think it's a guy thing so much as a people thing.

Yeah it depends on the situation so I think it's wrong to generalise.

And I think his relationship with his dad could affect his view toward women a lot too

I would say that is more to do with his father's view on how men should view women, but there is no large distance between the two.

No. It all depends on the individual. Some timid girls are nasty... and some popular girls are nasty. Similarly, some timid girls are very sweet and kind and some popular girls are very sweet and kind.

Sometimes, because beautiful ladies can intimidate most lads, while the seemingly not-quite-as-attractive gals can be more relatable to guys.
