Yal take forever to get ready. Change a million times. Wear provocative clothing. Got to show off your best asset and look hot. Why get mad cause you got the response you set out for or would yal be happier going home without getting hit on or checked out at all by anyone?

If we take forever to get ready it’s either to look professional or to look pretty … for ourselves and if we have a man then for our man. It’s not so some hobo feels entitled to yell “hey baby nice ass” or any sort of lewd comment at the top of his lungs.


For example, Sundays at church the ladies will get dressed up nicely. Is it for some random jerk to come a’hollering after them with a compliment then a ton of curses when they try to be ladies and ignore it? Nope.


In fact, a guy who was in line for the communion one week leaned over and said “tight” to me in a creepy way. I looked over and gave him the f-ing stink eye. Later during coffee hour he kept looking me up and down like he was gonna pounce. I ignored it as long as I could then left when the urge to smack him started to overwhelm me. Only a dbag would comment like that when we were all supposed to be in a low key, prayerful state. (PS: What I was wearing was nothing to write home about. Very plain, simple, proper dress, so don’t come telling me it’s what I was wearing bc it absolutely wasn’t.)

Would you like woman yelling "Boner!! He has a boner!" Every time you went out in public? Even if you didn't. Mind you you'd really have to be feeling the actual live and endless situations to understand. It was like nails on a chalkboard after a while.
