Is it normal for a masseuse to massage you while you are naked?

I had a weird experience with a masseuse recently. First, she was located inside some large warehouse in a remote location that was locked. It made me nervous so I called her and she assured me she had a room in the warehouse and liked to keep the building locked between clients. Second, she gave me this tiny see through underwear and bra which showed everything and kept making things pop out and show. Third, she didn’t cover me with anything when massaging. When I asked her to incorporate wood sculpting, it was clear she didn't know what she was doing and it left bruising that didn't go away for weeks.

Plus, she focused too much on my hips and butt. Fourth, and this is the weirdest, she had me get up and walk to her so she could massage me standing up because she said something like people look different at various angles? And then she also charged me way more than a normal session and blew up when i said I called it out and said i would not be returning. Is any of this normal? This is my first time getting a lymphatic massage and I dont know what general best practices are but i feel kind of sick to my stomach and it just feels like something wasn't quite right. But i did check her reviews and she eerily has a ton of 5 star glowing reviews..

I've been getting massages on an almost monthly basis since I was 17. Started getting them when I was doing sports, then just to relax after I started college.

Every masseuse is a bit different. They get certified through various techniques, but you'll find that they don't all practice the same things. Some masseuses will require you to have some sort of draping. Others will offer these cheap bra/panties that are, as you described, see through and don't really cover much as a bit of a safety barrier; benefit of them is that they're disposable and can be bought in bulk. Others will completely leave it up to you and what makes you comfortable.

Every masseuse should communicate, even if briefly, what their process is ahead of time so that you're not caught by surprise and stay relaxed. Whole point is for the masseuse to create a comfortable atmosphere that revolves around you.

Me personally, I opt to just stay uncovered. I don't really like the feeling of fabric sticking to my skin because of the oils they use. I do like to feel the air on my body. So long as it's not cold and the air current isn't strong, I feel pretty relaxed.

All in all, if you're not comfortable, the massage doesn't work and the masseuse isn't doing their job.

when doing a massage you can be naked via underwear/buck naked but usually they put a blanket/towel to cover you. Or could just take the clothes off that will be working on. Like if it’s your shoulder just take ur shirt off and leave your pants on.
