Is nudity in front of spa therapist of opposite sex ok?

I recently went to a spa for a body scrub and vichy shower. My therapist was a lady. During the process I was naked but covered by a small towel. When the process ends, the therapist removed the towel and ask me to stand up to dry myself. I was a bit surprised to be suddenly exposed but didn’t say anything. The lady was very professional. I’m wondering what other think about this experience. Is it normal?

The spa is definitely not a happy ending place because they have a lot of female clients.

Of course it is not and that is the reason why in most serious spas, you would never put a therapist to handle a person of the opposite gender.

There has been sexual abuse on way too many occasions and if the spa is concerned about its reputation and legal issues, it would certainly never hire therapists to work on opposite gender clients.

That kind of business practice is counterproductive and can potentially lead to legal action by the customers of either gender. However, I am sure that guys would have less issues showing their nudity in front of a female therapist than the other way round.

You can never exclude sexual harassment and that is why I would never go to such a spa that does not have strict gender separation rules.

Actually worldwide it's more common to have mixed gender spas. Indeed in some countries it would be seen as weird separately doing stuff like saunas and massages.

Japan, most of the scandic countries, Europe etc it's all fairly common. And as for sexual abuse. Can you cite any recent examples. I'm not saying you're wrong, but it doesn't seem your response is as informed as one might hope.

I could cite many more examples of the dangers female customers encounter in spas and other places where people are requested to disrobe themselves.

This is not even the tip of the iceberg and the vast majority of sexual abuse in such institutions go unreported.

The only ''spas'' who had opposite gender therapists treating male patients were those ''happy ending'' massage parlors in the slums.
