Is nudity around your family ok?

Question

i was raised a nudist and i am curious to know peoples opinions. i grew up with 2 brothers, my mom, my dad and it was never a big deal. why are people so weird about nudity?

I lack the information needed to answer this with any certainty. I would need to know how a decent number of nudists react around other nudists for a comparison, as well as other factors, in order to see if the reactions I know non nudists have around nudity are different, or if nudists just accept/ignore them as natural responses (instead of feeling awkward), because everyone they are around has those responses too.

Like for example, nudity for most people is a direct trigger for either sexual arousal or disgust, depending on who they are looking at, and I think the reason for this is breeding and disease avoidance.

I am a nudist. I would have no issues with nudity around other people in general but I won't impose my naked body on anyone if it made them uncomfortable. So I limit it to my own home and occasionally back yard or places where clothing is optional. Not many such places in the U. S. The closest to me is about 300 miles away.

As someone with a medical condition that has me having a period for long periods of time, I wouldn't be comfortable letting my brothers watch me freely bleed all over the place. And there's usually lots of bleeding. That and some women also have more vaginal secretions than others. Bodies are beautiful but restrooms are private for a reason. What bodies emit can be unpleasant and odorous.

I have never seen my brother or father naked and vice versa.  I have never seen my mom or sisters entirelyyyy naked but it's more relaxed than with my male relatives.

Growing up with my two sisters and our parent we mostly stayed clothed. Weren't raised as nudists. But where I'm living now everyone is comfortable with being naked nude around each other and If I'm home all day I'll spend the day naked in my bedroom and throughout the house and even outside and I'm even naked at the moment love being naked. 💞

There is a good reason why the nudity of blood relatives is off putting. It's so we don't fuck our own relatives. Nature defined that we should be repulsed by nudity in our own families, just as it defined that we should be repulsed by the smell of shit.

I have been nude with my wife, and with my children when they were younger. We went to nude resorts a lot, and to nude beaches. Eventually it became necessary to not be so open due to my military career. I do envy some of your experiences.

To my understanding, nudity is not common and well accepted

The reason being since it's not very common and always been a taboo, it has been strongly associated with sexuality

For someone but from a nudist experience, seeing a woman naked will immediately give them boners and sexual thoughts

Nope, we're all prudes. Except my aunt; she actually is a nudist. I was personally intrigued by the lifestyle; but I get erections too easily so I would be afraid of getting kicked out because of this.

Fellow nudist here- I was raised nudist/clothing optional as well with my sister, brother, mom and dad all nudist. It never felt weird. I'm still a nudist and my wife has embraced nudism as well.
