I am trying to move on from my close female friend?

I got close to my female friend during really difficult times
We helped each other a lot
And I came out with feeling for her
I kept it inside me for 3 months cause I knew she only sees me as a friend
Until last week I told her that I have feelings for her
We agreed to put distance between us
It has been a week since last time we texted
It is so weird
Is it safe to assume we will never be close as before? Would she think I am ignoring her?

Ugh dude, breakin' up with a friend is the worst. I've been there. A few things:

- Give it more time, like at least a month of limited contact. A week ain't enough to shake those feels.

- Make sure you've both agreed the friendship has to change or you won't get over it. Bein' close again too soon will just confuse ya.

- It's okay if things aren't exactly like before. You'll find a new normal, but probably less hangin' all the time.

- If she reaches out, respond but keep it casual and brief. Don't overanalyze what she thinks - stick to what YOU need to move on.

- Lean on your other friends and keep busy so you're not dwellin' on her. Worked for me when I was gettin' over some rejections.

- Don't be ghostin' her non-stop, that would be rude. But check in every few weeks maybe, keep it light, and slowly you'll feel more normal.

Takes time man, but you'll get through it. Just stay strong stickin' to your distance until you're not crushed on her so hard. You got this bro!

I doubt you’ll ever be that close again. There’s always going to be that awkwardness between the two of you. Maybe not so much on your part, but on hers for sure. She looked to you as a friend, nothing more. But now she k owes your true intentions, so she won’t see you the same most likely. That one dude who was just my friend. Not some dude who wanted to smash me. He was cool. I could talk to him about whatever w out worrying that he’s judging me. Now she sees you in a different light. Who knows maybe she’s not even turned on you by the slightest so now you’ve triggered that “ick” factor in her. Yes move on man.
