I’ve been dating this girl for a few months. She’s met my mom and the 2 have gotten along well. They went shopping the other day. My mom was trying on dresses for a wedding we’re all attending. My girlfriend said she was a bit taken back when my mom changed in front of her “down to her bra and thong” she said. She said I’ve laid out by the pool with your mom on our little bikinis so I guess it was no different but she said she was a bit uncomfortable and that it was weird. Is it normal or is it weird?

I mean I can see this being discomforting to some, but honestly I don’t find it weird. Your mom is comfortable with her and feels like she’s built a civil relationship with her, I would feel honored if my boyfriend’s mother was this comfortable with me.
