Is liquid courage real or was she just drunk?

A couple of weeks ago, I went on a trip with some friends and met a new girl. For the first couple days of the trip, she was shy and didn’t say much to me.

Then one night, we had a game night, and she had a couple of drinks. She opened up to me a lot and kept trying to have private convos/speak in code. It seemed very obvious she liked me.

But the next day, she went back to being reserved. On the last night of the trip, everyone wanted to go to one last dinner, but I decided to catch up on some grad school work. She tells me, “Come on. This is the last time you’re gonna see me.” I assured her that she’ll see me again and she did but she was shy/distant.

Could she like me and is just shy or is she just a friendly person?

I wouldn’t count an open or causal conversation aided by alcohol as an indicator she’s interested. Try asking her number and telling her you’d like to see her again. do this when she’s sober. You’ll get a more reliable answer to your question.

People tend to open up more when they've been drinking. I call it liquid courage or truth serum. I think she probably is interested in you and maybe you should reconnect.

It’s very hard to know because alcohol gives false hope. You would need to ask her on a date to know for sure
