Why are women so obsessed with thier phones?

Like I'll be in public and women are just looking down at thier phones and don't see what's going on around them. Ofc some men do this to , but it's mostly women that I see do this. Same with my girlfriend she just comes home and just stays on her phone 24/7 no talking or watching shows nothing. Just sits there on tik tok all night smh. Social media is a disease. She has such attention span now she can't watch movies without being bored 3 mins in, sayings it's moving to slow.

This is really not gender-based, social media creators and developers know this very well, the product that is social media targets men, women and children alike, which is reasonable, diverse audience, more cash, more propagation etc.

The horrible truth is this: For many of us, the possibilities offered by a device accessing internet are more attractive, more pleasure inducing than an evening with a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's not inevitable, but it means that you are competing against an unfair player that is social media, you can win, but you really have to shine bright to do so lol

You do realize phones and social media are a means of connection, right? Your girlfriend is connecting with her friends and loved ones. Yeah, some of them are designed to make you endlessly scroll, it’s entertainment as well. Are you really going to be that upset that she scrolls on her phone while you watch tv which is also designed to keep you watching? There’s ads on streaming services too, you know. It’s all the same bullshit.

She barely talks to her family like that and if she does it over a phone call and idc about that. I'm taking when we are watching something she barely pays attention or if I try to talk to her she ignores me for the phone. That's what I'm talking about. Yes that is what they are designed for I get it , but I don't endlessly scroll. So you can't watch a ad for 10 seconds? I told her when she gets home she can have like an hour or two on the phone and I won't bother her but after that it's our time. But then she gets stuck and never gets off

I wasn’t thinking she was taking to her family, there are other people she can talk to. Instead of just asking for “our time” have you told her that you feel ignored?

Connecting with other dudes too. I once heard a woman explaining to her husband why she was texting her "ex" boyfriend who just happened to have moved cross country to live in the same town as them.

@cupcakeTheDestroyer yes I have and we agreed that when she gets home from work I give her an hour or two and the phone and then we put the phones away and spend time together. But she doesn't listen

Some people are just too obsessed with phone, no matter men or women. I saw severals time couples just busy with their own phone when hangout with their partner, and don’t even talk to each other.
