I’ll never be attracted to older men or men my age since I find them unattractive?

I am 25.. i have a boyfriend who’s 19. He’s so handsome and cute in my eyes, he’s also young, vibrant, and energetic. He has a young face, no facial hair. I lied to myself for years when I was 18-21 tried to date older men but the attraction was never there. I was told by people “oh but one day you’ll like guys or men your age” like no I just don’t.. I don’t like men with facial hair, older faces, lots of wrinkles. I am almost 30 years old and I feel this way still. Someone who’s 30 is too old for me even.. men have a high standard for women’s age so I do too also, it’s just in my nature.

Hey girl, I totally understand where you're coming from with this! When you know what you like, you know what you like - there's no need to justify it to anyone else.

As long as your boyfriend is also mature enough to treat you right and respect your feelings, I say who cares about the age difference? You both clearly make each other happy.

It can be kinda frustrating though when people try to tell you "you'll change your mind." Ugh, like please mind your own business! Not everyone is into the same things. Some girls just prefer clean-cut cute guys to older dudes with hair everywhere, and that's perfectly fine.

As long as you and your man respect each other, screw what anyone else thinks about the numbers. Chemistry is chemistry, you know? You do you, girl. Everyone has a preference, however there is some irony, if at 18 you did not like 25 yr olds, however at 30 a 25 yr old is now okay…

As you get older, at 40 the chances of a guy under 30 even noticing you will most likely be rare, which means it’s in the 30 to 40 group, which at present you don’t like…..

I don’t think I’ll be single tho cause I am with a young guy who loves me but I have heard stories of plenty of guys in their 20s who like much older women so it’s not uncommon like you think…

You can only look so much younger than your actual age, as we all get older we face the realities of age. I had a completely different outlook at 20 to now, if you are single at 40 your age range will be in the group you currently do not like, it’s fairly simple, people tend to do up and down 5 years.

That’s fine I don’t wanna get married again if my first marriage don’t work out anyways so lol I wouldn’t care as long as I can find a good relationship that’s good enough but physical attraction matters. I wish people would realize not every woman likes men twice her age or her age or older…

@rebelinsteel lying to myself was the worst time of my life ever and I can’t ever do that again let alone I was too young and naive.. at 18 nobody really knows who they are at least not most women because we’re still vulnerable and naive and I didn’t like this guy much older not one bit, also my friend was stuck in an abusive relationship with her ex who was 24 at the time and she wishes she never got with him so young let alone now she realizes she wasn’t attracted to him either and she’s 25 as well.

I still don’t feel the physical attraction even if they are mature.. you can’t force yourself as a person to lay in bed and get intimate and wake up to someone you’re not attracted to. I’d rather not live if I had to choose cause that is depressing as hell..

Physical attraction matters for everyone at least for most people.. sure personality plays a part but I’m not with someone just for that or their status, I need to be able to get turned on by that someone and find them hot and attractive to wanna spend my life with them.

I get it. I've never been attracted to younger women, even though that is the norm. Guys a decade or more older than I am will not date women over 25 because "The Wall" is coming. I rarely date women under 35.

It’s okay if you have your preference too for older women or for your age. I just feel like yeah I know they make it seem like the norm you should do this and that but it’s your life do what makes you happy not what the norm of others believe.
