Girls’ why do some of you get upset when you ask your man How you look and he says Beautiful etc?

Why do you girls’ ask this question to your man, if it’s just going to make you upset anyways? Would you rather him say you look like shit and go change your outfit? I never understood why some of you girls’ do this? If my partner looks good , I am going to be honest and tell her she looks beautiful if she looks like shit , I will tell her she looks like shit? So why get upset if your man is telling you that you look beautiful?

Yeah, as @AviatorTom said this is a minefield here, you can walk safely only if you're exposed enough to the trick. And then understood what is really going on. What is going is most certainly a vulnerability she is displaying, so the course of action here is to unplug your reason, and plug in your heart, because that's what it is about. And it's a very, very typical mistake between men and women. Use the different perspectives you have access to, don't stay locked into one only !

It could be that she wants to hear more than that. Saying beautiful is like putting in the least effort as possible on a date. It’s like ok a kid could say she’s beautiful. Especially if she put a lot of effort into it for you to just say beautiful. Something that more than likely you’ve told her numerous times. It’s like a girl who works on an extravagant meal for you or the family only to be eaten in 10 minutes. Then you tell her that was good. Like really just good after I killed myself all day cooking it. Yes she didn’t have to so please don’t say well she didn’t have to do all that. But you get the point. Put a little more effort into it than just a simple one word answer. Don’t say damn you’re fine, damn you’re gorgeous lol

If I ask the person I love, who claims to love me, I expect more than just a "leave me alone" response. "You look beautiful" is something you can say to a prostitute, but to your woman, you say what you see, the details that make her specifically your woman. At least a few sentences.

I thought it's usually if you are hoping for "beautiful " or "sexy" but he says you look nice! Now that one is gonna get a peeved off partner!

That's a question that no man can safely answer, just like the question, "Does this dress make me look fat?".

No matter how your man answers, you (woman) will either think he's lying, or that the truth hurts. So why ask such a question in the first place?
