Nope. I got some nice flowers for my girl after she just had surgery on a nerve in her leg. She is pretty immobile and can't really get around well. So you mean to tell me that she is going to treat our relationship as if she doesn't care? I am just using this example to show how asinine your theory is. I know that you didn't say that she COULDN'T take care of them and assume she could but my point is that there are exceptions and to generalize like you have is just ridiculous. Even if she was able to take care of them... they are flowers. There are much more important things in life to worry about than the random flowers on the table. If she forgot about them because she was busy working, taking care of family, taking care of something for me, doing things around the apartment that needed done, running errands... you get my point I hope. Those are all way more important than making sure some flowers stay alive.
I mean, I would hope we can all agree that a medical emergency would kinda cancel out the whole thing but if she were in the hospital, I'd see it as my responsibility to make sure they stay alive as long as she's there for.
It's not about her caring or not caring to prove something to me it's about what meaning these things have to her.
Can she feel comfortable not putting them in water or taking a picture of them and asking a reddit if they go by the window or not if it's something I gave her as a symbolic gesture.
If she wanted them in the first place but only for the immediate satisfaction and none of the commitment... Its like a personality test.
As my stain glass heart breaks into a million pieces
The first time, I would make an effort to care for them. He would be told that I don’t care for flowers, and it’s really just a waste of money to buy me more. I’m not really the romantic type, so these gestures are lost on me.
You wanna make me happy? Buy a video game we can play together. Or just some of your time and attention.
Always better than gifts, in my opinion.
I mean... the flower dies the moment the very moment you cut it, because it won't be able to regenerate new cells, at all
so, what you really have is a very slow torture of the flower till it finally decays too much for us to consider it "not pretty anymore"
ain't that romantic... lol
You can plant flowers in the ground and grow a new plant. I seen it
I did that with some roses...
Nah. She's just a black thumb and doesn't appreciate it the way you're intending it. Talk with her, she might want chocolates, nail gift certificate, etc.
It is a buzzkill for your latitude for creativity but you can do that for other occasions.

Some people don’t really like plants. And i’m 1 of that people who don’t like plants. So before you give someone something, better to ask what they like.
That's fine, I kinda hate them too
I don't believe in giving flowers in general. So no I would not be mad because it wouldn't happen in the first place.
Yeah that would be pretty bullshit.
I'm still waiting for "This is why you're single" 😂
I was mad reading this. Be mad, guys.
It's a personality test
To me it's a test about responsibility. If we can't even take care of flowers, good luck keeping a pet or raising a child.
Oh, I didn't even think about that. I would have called it a pass just for trying. You sevant, you
Maybe a little. I would consider it a sunk cost.
No, I don't get angry.
