It's usually expensive. And they have no utility besides looking pretty and I don't even find flowers that pretty. Buy me a houseplant or snacks or whatever. But flowers?

I've thought this too and considered them to indicate just temporary concerns or interest. I would be grateful of the thought butfeel the same as a vegan given milk chocolates as a gift. All a bit pointless

My wife hates flowers. She also hates chocolates which makes Valentines day a lot cheaper
