Why don't guys ever get excited about baby names? Its always the girls that want to name their future babies?

We get excited about it. I think it's probably less of a priority for us because we aren't the ones carrying the baby around for 9 months. I imagine that that experience would create a level of personal investment into the baby that men simply don't have.

I have a few names picked out that I'd put forth as options, if I was having a kid. Just something I've given some casual thought to over the years.

False!! I got very excited looking at baby name books!! It was even more fun (and I suggest this to any couple who is expecting children) to randomly yell their name up the stairs to see how it sounded at different emotional levels since we would be doing that the rest of their lives while they were at home!

Some guys do, but it’s definitely a choice that both parents need to talk about. I mean naming a child is a huge decision if your last name is Cox you don’t want to name your child Harry or something like that.

I think though it means more to some people then it does others as for me I do get excited about it. But sometimes you change your mind on names.

Girls have a bigger stake in it. THEY'RE making the baby. The guy just kinda sits idly by and waits 9 months for the big moment.
