It's a common cliche that older men chase much younger women, but charts from the book "Dataclysm" provide real evidence that men at every age are consistently most attracted to women in their early 20s.

Maybe this is true in case of Western countries where the 40+ men can get women in their early twenties. In India, it is heavily judged so MOST guys and girls are already married by the age of 30-32 and the likelihood of divorce is only 1% so you won’t normally see a much older man with a much younger woman. Even Bollywood celebrities are judged for that and we all know their lives don’t reflect what ACTUALLY happens in case of regular individuals. The fact that most Indian women in India have to have a nice career in order to be considered for marriage by men with such careers makes it almost impossible to get married in your early twenties. So typically you spend your early twenties in college and more than 90% don’t like to marry in college. I have noticed that the Western society puts a lot more emphasis on women’s youth and beauty and a man’s wealth and strength. It’s very different over here because a divorced guy can usually only find other divorced women and 40+ Indian guys who are single are usually divorced men. Young virgin girls tend to reject them because many girls also want a man who didn’t have too many relationships. That said, I have seen many profiles of handsome Indian men earning well who have put 22-35 years old woman with a higher income in their partner preferences. This can look surprising to people from Western countries where an 80-year-old bald and fat man can be with an 18-year-old virgin who looks good. Also, cheating is not as rampant as Western countries. I even remember dating a guy at the age of 20 who was 4 years older than me (my senior in college) and everyone made a big deal about it. I have also met guys in their 20s who have said things like “she was 40 years old but she had maintained herself well” when I joked that they had been with older women.
It’s nearly impossible to find a handsome city guy for marriage in early twenties as most want a working woman. The only 35+ Indian guys who have never been married and are single are those living OUTSIDE India and most smart girls tend to avoid them because they sleep around with girls living over there and then come to India seeking a homely younger virgin who would put up with their player lifestyle and cook Indian meals he had been missing all his life. I have rejected many such guys even though they were my fantasy as a teenager. Even my favourite actor was Upen Patel because he was that “NRI guy” for me but I’m smarter now

Succinctly expressed, men may fantasise about teenagers throughout their lives but it’s only practical for them to have relationships with women who are in the same age group as themselves.

Many do, and they often get angry that they don't have good options for a long term mate. Many also don't want to admit that their choices to be promiscuous in their 20s forever disqualifies them from a good man. They also get upset when they finally realize that no matter what degree they have and no matter how much money they make, it makes no difference to good men. All that time, money, and effort amounts to absolutely nothing when it comes to their appeal as a potential long term partner.

Men wanting women in their 20s is partially because they want someone that has a good probability to have healthy offspring, and her looks matter too, but what many don't realize is that her being younger also means she has had less time to make bad, unfixable life decisions (promiscuity and having kids with a past partner being the most prevalent). Also, the younger generations of women (at least 12 + years younger than me) tend to have more interests in common with men such as gaming, sports, fantasy and sci-fi genre, etc. which makes them a better match too.

I doubt if many women in their mid-30s are virgins. That means that they weren't rejecting every relationship proposal. Most probably got lots of sexual experience and had lots of fun.

Are you talking about rejecting marriage proposals?
Maybe some women weren't interested in marriage or even kids, just like many men aren't interested in marriage when they are young. And some don't want kids, either.

Maybe some women preferred to focus on education, career, personal growth, travel, fun and excitement, rather than being young house wifeys with no life experience. Not everyone's only dream in life is to pop out babies.

A person can always get married. There is no time limit.
And, as far as child bearing age, it has been said that the perfect age for a woman to start having children is after 27 or so.

I’m still waiting for Gods best for me. Growing up until I reach 25 I wanted to focus on myself and I felt distracted in my life when I focused on dating or getting to know a guy. I knew I wasn’t ready to get married and that time in my life a relationship wouldn't been the best for me. I’m glad I held back and focus on my relationship with God and pursued my goals and things that really matter. I also had the influence of culture get to me I felt like from 14 to 25 I was force to date and to find someone. I felt like growing up being brought up in today’s time it’s hard to live happy and single without anyone asking why or hearing music that idolizes relationships or sex. Or advertisement that focus on family or married couples. I feel like I had to train my mind to know I’m on my own agenda and maybe a lot of people are going think I’m weird but I don’t care because I’m living life on my pace. I do want to be in a relationship and get married and have children. I have baby fever lately. I just feel like everything happens for a reason and honestly I just never settled over the years. I have always held out for Gods best. There could be many reasons why women are still single but just know they probably just haven’t found the right man that they need in there current life. Being married isn’t for everyone and dating in todays time is scary. I wouldn’t blame anyone who simply is done with dating or is struggling with dating. I’m currently not dating I’m just trying to maintain a job and maintain a healthy lifestyle and find great community of people to spend time with. Everyone is in different seasons and I wouldn’t look down on anyone who is older and still single. I know your probably just curious but you don’t know about someone life until you actually have a conversation and there open to discussing why might they are different than others. Just because a woman is single doesn’t mean she is lonely or there something wrong with her. I feel like a lot of single women are actually way smarter than girls who are in relationships bc they have standards and there not willing to put up with anything less. Also people who spend single for way to long don’t really desire companionship because they are good with themselves. I think if I ever will marry it’s going be bc I want to get pregnant. But also to enjoy life with the other person. But there no rush. So many people I know they are married and at age of 26 I never been in a real relationship. It’s hard finding someone who you actually want to date and spend your time with. I value my time and I don’t just allow anyone to come in. Anyways this is a long rant. Beauty is an observable proxy of female fertility but it is really the same thing in that the hallmarks of fertility are seen as beauty. Firm high breasts jutting out, tight waists, smooth skin etc etc.

Homo Erectus men who liked 20-24 were rewarded with more progeny. Guys who liked grannies left none. Highly predictable that descendants of men who liked nubile girls, themselves liked nubile girls and crowded out men who weren't so particular. So today, all men fancy 20 - 24 yo females.

In the darker recesses of my primal male sex circuitry, am pretty sure there is a prototypical hot girl image and some simple decision logic that says "if she looks like this, go after her" with no thinking required.

I do believe this to be true. I know quite s few women in their 30s struggling to find a good man to marry them after turning down some greag guys in their teens and twenties and of course women over 40 and 50 who never married or had kids because they left it too late.

It is normal human nature for men to seek women to have children and to pass on their DNA, for the caveman brain, the younger the better. This has been going on since caveman times. You might not like it but you can' change more than 100,000 years of human behavior.

A woman is in her physical peak from 18-30 and she is constantly getting attention from men on a daily basis. You can imagine women get fed up with this until comes along someone who is not interested and this attracts the girl. This guy is genuinely not interested or not sincere in his intentions or just knows how to be cool to get what he wants.
