Ladies, what are the tenants of Girl Code?

Before I ask any follow-up questions about a breach and what to do about it, I just want to first see if we all generally agree on what it is first.

Guys, I am also curious to hear about guy code.

For clarification, I am generally referring to the rules that girls follow with each other when they are friends.

1. If his girlfriend / wife asks you where he is, you know nothing. Keep his whereabouts to yourself. Hang up the phone and warn your friend.

2. Don’t ever allow him to drive drunk. If you need to, you drive 100 miles to get him home safe. Or you make arrangements for a taxi. Money is not an issue. You keep his car keys and drive it to a safe spot.

3. In the absence of your friend, you are his girlfriend's / wife’s protector. No questions asked.

4. If your friend is going through a hard time, take him out for a drink, a pizza, a spin in your car… Wait for him to talk to you about his problems. Never ask. If he doesn’t want to talk about it, that’s OK. No words needed.

5. There are a couple of sacred things, to be defended at all cost: his house, his car and his bike.

6. You don’t flirt with his ex-girlfriends. You don’t flirt with the girl he has a secret crush on. You don’t flirt with the girl he fancied in kindergarten. This is completely off limits.

7. In a men’s toilet, you keep at least a space between the urinoirs. 5 urinoirs means there’s space for 3 men to pee.

Clearly the major code is that anything a girl does is OK and she is a victim and that any man reacting adversely is wrong.

My local cafe has a community table where anybody can sit even if there are other people already there. Good for getting interaction.

Anyway there was a girl who had been wronged by a man and another girl was consoling her and fully supporting her in how wrong the man had been. Went on for some time. Eventually the wronged girl went to the toilet.

The consoling girl turned to us (guys) and said exasperatedly "I don't know what she expected to happen, when she cheated".

That's girl code.

Instinctively, I don't think I relate to any Guy Code? I have seen a few instances of guys asking me for gender-based solidarity, it always looked shady to me lol

I'm not sure all these make people more ethical lmao... rather, and often makes us a bit erratic, that's why I just don't believe in codes as something people definitely guide their actions, or reactions
