Acceptions to rule: a) Your friend has given you permission/ couldn't care less b) The said fancying/going out happened before the age of puberty

oh fuck I answered before I finished reading there should be an other option. Would I date a girls user? No but i'd date ex love interests if it's been months to a year since those people have talked and if the guy did not do something horrible to cause the break up or was a horrible boyfriend because he's selfish and aggressive. But yeah if it's been a long time and she says she is over him and doesn't have any significant baggage from him. Then it's all good same with me date my exes if you want to as long as the break up or relationship was not traumatic and I got no feelings.

I do agree with the girl code, but sometimes I think I stick to it too much (in that there's a girl in my French class who I'd probably say is an acquaintance, and I feel awful about going after the guy who broke up with her three months ago. Even though they were only going out a couple of months). But also, sometimes I think, what if you miss out on the one just because he went out with your friend before so now he's off limits?
