Girl apologizes whenever she walks past me?

Hey everyone I have noticed these couple of girls that I know and whenever one of them enters my space or even just walks past me they say a quick "sorry". Like what are they sorry about? I might get if we were closer that I had to slant my body to get by, but no there is plenty of room and they apologize when they walk past me anyway?

Hmm that is kinda weird bro. Here are some possibilities:

- She might have social anxiety or be shy and feels awkward just walking by people so she apologizes automatically to be polite.

- Could be trying to be all polite and delicate since you're a guy. Some girls feel obliged to act dainty around dudes.

- She may have a crush on you lowkey and gets nervous so the "sorry" just slips out. Girls do weird shy stuff when they like someone.

- Possible she feels bad taking up space near you cuz she thinks you think she's taking up too much room? Girls overanalyze shit like that lol.

- Could just be a habit she picked up from her parents and she doesn't even think about it. I knew a girl who always said bless you after everything.

Really doubt you did anything wrong! I'd say next time just be like "it's all good don't sweat it" and smile. Show her nothing to be sorry about. Or you could tease her and say she's silly for apologizing. Get her to laugh it off. Then you'll know for sure it's not a real issue.

Some people say sorry like they say excuse me. It may be more normal where they are from or how they were raised to be overly polite. It could also be a trauma response, but that is assuming a lot.
