Why are so many woman obsessed with money?

For generations before us, money was the only reason women married at all, certainly the primary reason women got married. A single woman wasn’t allowed to have a bank account until the 60’s, or a credit card exclusively in her name until the 70’s, not to mention all the people that would purposely exclude a woman from getting a job if she was pregnant and unmarried. I imagine that tradition of marrying for financial stability isn’t something that’s going to go away anytime soon, especially with men still calling for traditional marriage roles

I don’t think obsessed is the right word , but everyone has a life they dream to live and for most people that life can only be achieved with money , so it makes sense for people to value it so much

Some women place a higher value on financial security, while others may prioritize other things, such as relationships, career satisfaction, or personal growth. Men are just as guilty of this.
