Like, do you just think your girlfriend/wife randomly decides to be angry or pick fights about made up stuff? Or she's just randomly more horny this week? Do you not want to accept that hormone fluctuations dictate her behavior a lot more than you and your behavior dictate her behavior? Do you think that this some kind of narcissism on your behalf?

Do I think it's narcissism on MY part to not track it? No it would be narcissism to assume I am. For the women I've dated who were particularly miserable to be around, I tracked theirs when regular enough, but that was for my benefit as well as hers.

Sorry, poor wording. I mean a form of narcissism to assume that WE are the cause of the ups and downs of their emotions instead of just accepting that it's basic biology. Maybe narcissism isn't even the best word for it, but it's a related concept.

But yeah I'm with you on that. It's to the benefit of both partners. Like, I give my ladies tons of extra space during certain weeks and tons of extra life during other weeks. Instead of trying to the fight the tide like an insane person.

I'm sure you can, but obviously hormones affect a person's disposition and with dramatic fluctuations in hormones throughout a normal girl's month, a sane person would stay aware of it.

I wouldn't say our normal cycle is dramatic hormone wise. It's just how women are naturally. Men have a 24 he hormone cycle that affects your moods but it shouldn't be something that women are overly cautious of you know?

I don't think being overly cautious is reasonable, but being aware of it is definitely reasonable. Like men's T levels spike in the morning, so be aware that he might be more likely to be a dick in the morning (even though I think low T makes men into assholes, so it's probably the opposite of my example), and PMSing makes women more likely to be a dick, so be aware. Both can adjust accordingly. Like giving extra space, dodging conflict, not blaming themselves as much, etc...

I'm talking averages. Of course there are exceptions. And you may not want extra space, but if you're being a dick, you're going to get it. Because no one should have to put up with someone's abuse just because they want their victims to be more accessible.

It's abuse to take your anger out on people around you, and if they're avoiding you because of it, and you're trying to keep them around, that says a lot about you.

I would only take my anger out on someone if they made me angry. They'd deserve it then. But still I can get angry at any time in my cycle or even if I don't have a cycle

Do you recognize that when you're in a bad mood, other people making you angry because you're already angry? They're just an outlet for your emotions. Obviously anyone can get angry at any time, but being in a bad mood means normal behavior gets you angry. A person has a right to distance themselves from that kind of treatment. If your boyfriend was taking everything out on you because everything you do makes him angry, I doubt you feel like you deserved it and should just kiss his ass in hopes of him treating you like a normal person.

My husband has bad days and I still support him through those times. It's not being someone punching bag. It's being their rock/support system

And yes I take accountability when I'm in a bad mood. Just the other day I was having some postpartum rage because I was tired. My husband was extra nice to me because he knew I needed it.
