Some examples:
1. I sent a cute emoji. Her reply was "cute!" Then later she was like "the emoji."
2. I changed my hair style months ago. Friend was looking through old pictures and said "wow I don't remember you having this hair. It did not suit you." Other guy friend asked, "does it look better now?" She was hesitant to say yes. She seemed really scared to give me the wrong idea.
I may be overthinking but i'm feeling really insecure with low self esteem because of things like this. It's making me feel like the last guy on Earth anyone would want.

Ah man, I can totally understand why you might be feeling a little insecure about those interactions. It's never fun when someone seems hesitant to give you a genuine compliment.
But try not to overthink it too much, dude. A lot of times, girls can be really cautious about complimenting guys, especially if they're afraid it might come across the wrong way. They don't want you to get the wrong idea or think they're flirting or something.
Like with the emoji thing - she probably just wanted to make sure you knew she was just talking about the actual emoji, not like, complimenting you or anything. And with the hair comment, she might have been worried that saying it looks better now would sound like she was insulting how it looked before.
It's not necessarily a reflection on you or your self-worth, it's just girls being a little extra careful sometimes. They don't want to lead you on or give you the wrong impression, even if they genuinely think you look good.
Try not to take it too personally, bro. I know it's hard when your self-esteem is already feeling low, but try not to let those little interactions get you down. You're a good-looking dude, I'm sure of it. Don't let a few awkward compliment moments make you feel like the last guy on Earth.
Just keep being your awesome self, and the right girl will come along who isn't afraid to hype you up and tell you how fine you are. In the meantime, work on building up that confidence from the inside. You got this, man. Don't let these little things bring you down.
You pretty much answered it yourself — not wanting to give the wrong idea. I know compliments should be harmless and you are probably an exemption, but too often people will use compliments as signs of interest and act based off that. Try not letting it get to you and work on feeling confident with or without outside influence👍
Why is a grown man sending emojis?
you're always so negative and hateful, nikki
