Why do girls get so angry when their SO mentions being flirted with, but every girl talks about being flirted with all the time?

I've noticed in my relationships my entire life, girls constantly talk about guys flirting with them. Which is fine. But literally every time I've ever mentioned anything about a girl flirting with me, it's met with aggressive denial, or outright rage. No exceptions either.

Ladies, do you do this too, and could you give some clarity on what this is about?

Often it is because women are used to being flirted with or hit on, so we barely bat an eye at it and just shrug it off, but guys don’t usually get hit on so when it’s your boyfriend thats being hit on, it can feel like there’s a possibility that he would actually leave you for the girl that hit on him. It just bottles down to insecurity. It’s not something that I’ve ever felt negative about, if my partner gets hit on, but I have an understanding of why some women get upset about it.

That makes sense. But what doesn't make sense is why a girl would talk about being flirted with if hearing the same thing upsets them. It seems like they would avoid the topic altogether. So, I'm more concerned that girls are talking about it to cause an emotional reaction from me.

Men are most likely to respond flirtatious behaviour of women, that's what makes us feel insecure and skeptic.

Then why talk about it yourself? If you get insecure and skeptical, that is. And men may feel that women are most likely to respond to flirting and, themselves, feel insecure and skeptical. It just seems like a double standard.

I don't do that. But I suppose women want their men be jealous of them, they see it as a love play maybe. One has the right to not tolerate this kinda behavior ofc.

Good to hear you don't tell your SO about being flirted with, and yeah I get that I don't have to tolerate it. I don't think it bothers me much though. Not as much as getting yelled at for telling my SOs about being flirted with, that is.
