Okay so we’ve known him (let’s call him Jay) since grade school right? Like back in 3rd grade (2007). He had guy friends too but we’re pretty good friends. I don’t know when exactly he start liking her (let’s call her Kyla but around six grade (2010), I can tell that he started looking at her a different way and I can tell he really like her. What would I know? I was only 11. Lol. Anyways every dance or Valentine’s Day, Jay always thought about Kyla.
He asked her to EVERY DANCE. I mean everyone one. Even the Valentine’s Day dance, winter formal, you know it, it’s ALWAYS Kyla. Never any other girl. I told at my best friend that he really likes her if he keeps asking her to the dance every year but she denies it because they’re a good friends. She’s in denial. Come on! She went to the dance with him twice but she claims “as friends” but Jay thinks otherwise but I’m surprised he never asked her tone his girlfriend. Kyla told him she doesn’t feel the same way. Jay was hurt, but he thinks she’s blind and will realize her heart will be after him.
Jay never liked the guys she likes. Kyla had a boyfriend in a year and he was happy for her back and tell he was very jealous.
Kyla was with her now ex for four years but he cheated on her so bad during the pandemics. Kyla was absolutely devastated. She took herself out of dating for four years. I’ve seen guys come in and out of her life. Jay has always comforted her when guys broke her heart.
So fast forward to present day. We reunited with Jay yesterday after two years because he was going through something but we were there for him. so my boyfriend asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said no still single and then he asked why not. Jay got nervous and said Kyla is his girlfriend. Kyla blushes bright read and quickly said they aren’t and glared at him. She likes him but she won't admit it! So Stubborn. We’re 25 now.
Sorry for the long rant.

You keep talking from Jay’s perspective but not Kyla. Maybe Kyla isn’t attracted to him and legitimately doesn’t like him like that. Jay liking her in that way is not a reason for her to like him too. All you’ve shown is evidence of Jay liking her but none of Kyla liking him.

Okay okay fine! You’re right. We didn’t even bother to ask her and we just threw it on her. Look the guys in her life didn’t treat her right and she complains that there’s never any good guys but JAY IS RIGHT INFRONT OF HER!!!
Okay, Jay being kind is not necessarily good enough. Maybe Jay is good enough for you, but you’re not the one he wants to date, and Kyla has made it pretty clear she doesn’t want him. Why that is, I don't know, but it’s not your job to force it because that’s just going to make her fight against it harder. It has to be HER decision, not the group’s.
Is jay equally good as her? Does he belong from a rich family? Can provide and protect
Well I don’t know. I mean he treats her with a lot of respect, Kyla’s dad likes him, he works with kids. He’s not from a rich family. The provide part I don’t know but he would fight a guy that treats her horrible. He’s told a guy off once for taking garbage about her because she’s tall (5’11), plus size (size 14) and she looks masculine. Jay scolded his ass and almost beat him up.

Dude you don’t need that. Plus Kyla doesn’t care about rich guys. She won’t admit that she likes him and even her parents see him as boyfriend material. They never liked her other boyfriends.

I mean that boy is in love. He had a massive crush on her for YEARS. He even admitted to me that you and he had a girlfriend he still had Kyla in his mind but he never told her.
Why would he have a girlfriend if he thinks about kyla
Because he likes her duh but it’s wrong to think about another girl while dating someone.
