Girls, who are stay at home moms what’s the hardest part?

I was a career woman before I got married. For now I am a full time stay at home mum. Planning to wait until my children get to the elementary school before I get back to work again. The hardest part is being on call 24/7. It is a full time job. My baby is a fussy one year old and she needs a lot of attention. We take shift but sometimes my husband still needs my help to soothe her if she refuses to sleep. Once she is asleep, I need to do chores and cook, wash the dishes and everything. The only time I get to rest is when I sleep. The next day- same routine again. Good thing my husband’s cousin comes once a week to babysit so we could go out and have our time alone.

Definitely not the way influencers glamorize it. It’s a lot harder then it looks and women who are wanting to marry to get a free ride are in for a very rude awakening when they realize how much work it really takes being a mom. You can’t just be a bum when your kids and husband depend on you.

Though when they do get into elementary school you should still have conversations with your husband about if you really want to go back to work or not.

There are still a lot of things you can be doing while the kids are at school. You will number one get some alone time. Two you’ll be able to focus on things that you want to focus on. You’ll have time to rest from being exhausted.

You’ll have time to make sure the house is clean and dinner is on the table. While now it’s hard to constantly keep picking up messed. At least you’ll have a few hours of a empty house to clean things up and be ready for when the kids and husband comes home you’ll have a few hours that aren’t chaotic and time to focus on your own needs

Now it is your choice whether or not you want to go back to work. Nobody else not even your husband can make that choice for you I agree you should talk about it.

There is the chance too if you would like working part time. Possibly as a substitute teacher. But being able to be home during that time the kids are in elementary. Will give you time to like I said focus on yourself, find hobbies you enjoy at your leisure, connect with other moms, and the list goes on. A lot of women choose to continue to stay home or only work part time.

So that way you aren’t getting up early running to work. Then coming home exhausted trying to do laundry. Make dinner. Get the kids to bed. Not have a lot of time for anything else because it’s just go go go.

The weekends will turn into days to sleep. Days to clean. Days to do all that stuff when it could be for hanging with the family and going and doing stuff. Because you were able to keep up with the house most the weekn

Never getting a break. Most people come home after working all day and get to rest in their homes. For me being in my house feels like there's constantly something that needs to get done so there's not really time for resting.

I would love to. Babysit. Dishes. Mow the lawn and if you’re down maybe a relaxing massage to help you destress from the day

I would have loved being a homemaker!

It's hard to have to work for people and be on a strict time schedule every single day 😕

If you're at home you are your own boss and your life is yours to do whatever you want to.

I worked for 30 years and I would have given anything to be at home 🏠

Homemakers may complain about house chores, doing laundry and grocery shopping and everything else. But when you work guess when you get to clean your house, go grocery shopping, do the laundry 🧺, take care of paying the bills, making sure you always have good food prepared?
You do all of that on Saturday and Sunday - your days off. Yeah right. No days off is more like it.

Enjoy being a homemaker and raising your family and have a lot of love 💕 in your home 🏠

the isolation and constant of it. there's no off time unless you're asleep so its hard to stay sane if you're not "pre-disposed" to enjoy it.

It’s interesting seeing women like yourself who are more liberal leaning. Some people think that stay at home moms are this trad wife trend. When a lot of those women are probably just influencers wanting attention.

Most are just… Normal women which is weird how people act like it’s only a conservative thing. There are conservative women too who are hard workers.
