If a girl hold your gaze, is she interested?

I've been attending this gym for like 2 months now, and there's this girl I can't seem to stop myself from looking at.

The other day I was on the treadmill when she sat in the machine directly in front of me, facing in my direction.

Whenever people sit directly in front of me, I do my best to avoid eye contact, but I couldn't help myself from taking a peak at her.

When I looked at her, our eyes locked, and we held each other's gaze. I turned my head slightly, to break eyes, but when I realized she wasn't breaking eye contact I look back at her again.

She however broke the gaze, looking down and to her left. She stared at the ground below her for a good minute before leaving.

Was she signaling interest or was she staring me down because she caught me looking at her?

She didn't leave because of me. She was waiting for a guy. She left when he approached her.

Ask her to lunch or whatever. Do NOT ask "do you have a boyfriend?" or anything similar. Just ask for a date. Maybe better, hand her your number and ask her to call you.

What is stopping you from approaching her some day?

Nothing. I think I've talked to her before, but I'm not 100% certain. I think the guy is her brother. I'm not certain though, if I'm confusing her with another girl. She tends to gravitate towardsme, so I'll approach the next time I see her.
