Girls, How to stop drips down bum while wearing a tampon?

Ultra-embarrassed to ask this, so I'm anon. Cutting straight to the chase - I only got my period about 7 months ago and I'm still quite new to wearing tampons. Due to the shape and size, I'm having an issue that when I go to the bathroom, I get drips, sometimes a stream to my bum-hole. I've tried addressing this by sitting in a different position to no avail. My main concern is if this is dirty or dangerous? I try to keep very clean and I worry about getting pee all over myself.

I would not recommend you to wear any tampons. Fist, they are totally unhygienic and are also a potential risk if inserted too deep.

There is a much more hygienic solutions and this is to wear pads instead of tampons. You don't have that problem as the pads are sticking on your underwear by means of a sticky part that you attach to your underwear.

This method allows you not to have to insert any potentially dangerous cotton or other material directly into your vagina and potentially break your hymen if you are not being very cautious.

You are so much better off using pads than tampons.

I change my tampon everytime I pee so I'll take it out, pee then put in a new one

Maybe I pee more then you but I feel like that would be a lot. That's not a horrible idea but I would go through like 4-5 tampons a school day at that rate.

My flow is heavy and yeah I don't pee to often I guess. I know some girls just hold the string to the side

You’re supposed to take tampons out when you pee so you don’t get pee on the string.
