At the age of 36 and 9 months, I just learned how to use a tampon. I've never worn one in my life.

I'm on my last day of my period but it's still spotting. I was the organizer of a beach party. I had to learn through YouTube videos because none of my female relatives know how to use tampons.

Isn't this embarrassing?

Actually you would be better off staying with the pads. I used to wear Tampons starting at age 13. They had the junior sized one's back then for virgins I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

After working in a PCB/Dioxin laboratory for a couple of years I learned about dioxin bleaching things to make them look more attractive than their natural color.
Dioxin is a carcinogen., which could and does cause cancer. Tampons are dyed white and if they are inside your body 5 days out of the month chances are higher than when you wear a pad that's worn on the outside.

it's true they go inside you which means if they are dirty or if you keep them in too long the risk is increased.
But properly used the increased risk should be very minimal.
