Girl standing behind me to stare?

For the record, no this isn't another question about "does she like me" "is this a sign" etc. I'm not even attracted to her, I'm just confused and honestly kinda creeped out a little.

I was waiting for the elevator at my workplace with someone else, and I noticed a girl looking at us while getting off the stairs, and then stood right behind me (plenty of space available by the way) waiting for the elevator back up.

I already thought that was weird, the elevator only goes back up where she just came from, but I was like whatever maybe she forgot something.

Then when the elevator came and I got in, she just started walking off out of the building while shooting weird glances at me with no expressions.

I don't even know this girl, super confused what that was about. Would love to hear what you guys make of this.

The fiesta rhing that comes to mind is... who cares? Why do you care? So some weirdo stared at you. Oh well. That's what I would ve thinking. I certainly wouldn't make an account on an online forum to ask about it but that is just me. It means nothing. Perhaps she was having a bad day and doing that to everyone. Can you be sure that you are the only one that got a weird look? Did she do it to other people? How do you know she didn't? In the end it really doesn't matter and you just go on with your day. As you stated you aren't attracted to her and don't like her so what does it matter really? It doesn't really seem like something worth inquiring about. Just chalk it up to her being weird and nothing more and move on with life.

I'm just curious I guess, trying to make sense of whatever that bizarre thing was :p
I work in a big company so statistically some workers are gonna be weird of course, but this is taking it to a whole new level for me :D
I don't know if it's her having a bad day, I've seen her like 3 times since and every time she was giving me weird looks. I even tried to smile politely once to diffuse the situation. Nada. It's probably her just being weird/socially anxious or whatever and I should just ignore it, but it's still kinda gives me the creeps every time I run into her...

I have had such an experience with some women that they doubt you without any reason whether you are looking at them or following them or not but in that process, they themselves are staring at you or following you.

On the street I can get that, but I was standing still waiting for the elevator, how much of a threat does that pose that warrants whatever that was :D

his happened to me in the metro, a girl came very uncomfortably near my seat and stood there and started staring.
Actually, she wanted us to offer our seat to her but she did not want to request.
We did not offer.
Some girls are strange, you keep a distance, and you can't trust them. She may shout at any time and make false accusations.
