When WOMEN Lose an ARGUMENT with a man, they tell him to STOP TALKING, agree?

Whenever my wife is on the losing end of an argument, she tells me to Stop Talking. Other women I've known tend to do the same thing. Men, on the other hand, generally give in and agree, or at least agree to disagree.

What is your experience?

Is this one of the main differences between Men and Women, along with most Women having a hard time acknowledging that they can be wrong?

Interesting how responses to this question are definitely Yes or definitely No, not much middle ground. Maybe this is the reason men and women don't understand each other.

Nothing to do with Women, but with our modern society (which also effects older people like your wife)

Today absolutely everyone is told, that they are always right and they are never wrong. And that it's always the other person who is always wrong. So they are told to "never accept that you are at fault."

People have been told to refuse accountability, responsibility and that someone else might be correct regardless of what happened, because they are told they are never wrong. And accepting accountability is seen as a weakness and a sign of being "not good enough". People are told that you should never tolerate apologising for yourself.

And this trained mindset causes that behaviour.

Find a person (Male or female) that can accept responsibility and apologies for their wrongdoing is like finding diamonds in your garden. It's possible but extremely unlikely.

That was also one of the reasons why my two long term relationships worked so well. We BOTH were able to admit when we were wrong and the other one was right. And when made mistakes. That was also true in a sexual sense. But It basically connected us together that we could trust the other person so much with our own vulnerability and faults. Like we were glued together, because we could open up to each other completely.

But finding someone like that again has become almost impossible in my opinion. Today everyone insists on being "100% correct and innocent" all the time. And this makes relationship much more difficult, if not completely impossible.

We all hate to be wrong, but I feel women hate it more.

For me, if I'm wrong in a argument I tend to stay quiet. If I know I'm right, I'll stick to my guns and win.

I'm guessing you're wife notices the same thing and is trying to get you to stop talking so she can feel she has won her battle.

I don't ever do that. I can be wrong, I can apologize, I like to settle in and move on.

I didn't die from apologizing or telling the guy that he's right.
Life is too short for pettiness. Try and end the argument peacefully. Don't worry you won't die from it either.

It shows emotional intelligence when you can stay calm and end it as soon as you can.

When I was younger I had a very hard time saying that I was wrong because I really did believe that I was right. But when you get older in life your priorities change and peace between the two of you feels so much better than having to be right every single time.

Oh shut up, we don't do that. For a start we don't lose arguments we soften our stance to maintain the peace.

Have you noticed languages always have a lot of ways of saying shut up?, shut your gob/trap/head/face etc, put a sock in it, shhh, shoossh, zip it, button up etc

Each person is different regardless of gender. To often we let our ego get in the way of taking accountability for things that turn into an argument. Be humble and take responsibility for any wrong doing you did.

In my experience they tell the man to stop talking or they start throwing a fit, destroying property screaming and yelling and doing anything they can to distract him from what they were actually doing and saying.
