This question is very similar to those about men wearing thongs or something that is typical of a woman's line of underwear.

Nobody sees it and thus nobody cares what you wear under your city clothing. The same applies to your toenails. Nobody will ever get to see them and you do whatever you like. It is your life and as long as you are not harming others with what you wear or paint, you are fine.

You may have a feminine trait and it is fine by me. I don't have to live with you and to see your underwear and painted toenails.
