My girlfriend deleted her social media, should I be worried or is it no big deal?

She recently deactivated all her accounts without saying much about it. Things have been a little off between us lately, so I can’t help but wonder if this means something deeper or if she just wanted a break from social media. Should I ask her about it or just let it be?

Things could be off because of the social media? she might have realized that and wanted to get rid of it. Social media incites certain behaviours, certain attentions, validations, that one should not be looking for if you are commited. If you allow yourself to be approachable out there by every one, posts, thumbs ups a warm hearts, etc it tells a lot about your level of commitment and attention seeking attitude which definitely causes problems in personal life. Its like a Continuum of validation with constant bombardment, once you get use to that toxic stimuli it does not matter how good your partner is that one person's attention will never suffice against that number you had via social media. Ergo, having all those social stimuli which one should be only seeking from one's partner is not a very commitment conscious approach. It could be even seen as an emotional cheating. In the end nothing beats a good open communication do try to navigate your situation and find your way forward.

A girl asked whether "guys would think it weird if their girlfriend didn't have social media" a few days ago. From what I saw most guys thought it was a positive thing.

I am genuinely curios what it is you're worried this might possibly mean (in your nightmares). What are you thinking might possibly be her reasoning? Why exactly are you bothered?

I cannot think of any situation where her deleting all her social media means anything pertaining to your relationship.

What's your thinking on this? What is it you worry might be going on?

If she deleted her social media without saying anything, it could be a red flag. It might mean she’s hiding something, distancing herself, or avoiding accountability. Sudden secrecy isn’t nothing it’s worth paying attention to. Don’t ignore your instincts if something feels off. Silence can speak louder than words sometimes.

Honestly, it’s not necessarily a big deal. Sometimes we just need a break from the pressure or drama online. But if she suddenly did it and seems distant or upset, it’s okay to gently ask how she’s feeling

I think I’d be a little concerned. I say this because most women are social, they tend to feed off of attention. A lot of women seek validation. From most men’s perspective we’d rather they’re not on social media w a following. To a lot of men that is a good thing.

Check on her to see if she's in a good place as (not to be an alarmist) sometimes deleting social media is a suicide sign.
