My friend and I used to be really close. fyi my friend is a guy and I am a girl. Anyway we became friends after we learned that we both shared a similar trauma. Over the last year, we've really connected and I was super glad to have someone that I could talk to.
He got a girlfriend back in November and although I expected and accepted that he was going to focus on her more now, his behavior really surprised me in the last couple of weeks.
First he stopped responding to my texts messages and phone calls. I wasn't reaching out every single day, but it was either related to work or asking if he was planning on hanging out with some mutual friends.
Last week, I noticed that he stopped following me on instagram, hid his stories and removed me as a friend on facebook (and there is no option to re-request). BUT when we are at work he acts the same around me, like nothing is wrong.
Any thoughts? Is this weird?
PS: Putting this out there before anyone accuses me, but I am NOT jealous of his new relationship. In fact, I even tried to set him up with a friend of mine before.
