How do I as a male tactfully handle a woman who won’t take no for an answer?

I have a female neighbor who I always saw as an acquaintance and nothing else. I never gave her any indication that I was interested in her. A week ago she suggested we should go out on a date but I respectfully declined. Yesterday she saw me while I was jogging and started running with me, asking me if I changed my mind. I said no, I hadn’t. Today she asked again. I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings but I have been very clear from the beginning that I had no romantic feelings for her.

Hey, the girl is trying. Give her credit for that. Most women won't put themselves out there like that. So be nice but firm. Giving her any crack in your resolve that she could interpret as a chance would be meaner than telling her she doesn't have a chance.

The whole neighbor thing would be something I'd be wary of. Just too close. Too much on top of each other all the time. And if it goes badly, you'll be the talk of the neighborhood. Don't know if that's a part of your concerns but it's an argument you could throw out there.

Well, just tell her that then. Maybe you flat out telling her you are not looking for a relationship at the time will cool off her advances. Strange, most men would probably love that happening to them.
