Why are women generally less insecure about their height than men are?

Because of what is important to the opposite sex. Women are generally less insecure about height, and more insecure about weight and physical appearance.

Height isn't more important to women though. I never hear women go on about height like men do about a woman's weight and appearance

Height is more important to women, but we're shamed for that so we don't talk about it much. Men get shamed for their preferences with weight and appearance too but they just don't seem bothered by it.

We don't really get picked on for being tall or short. If we are short we are cute and if we are tall we are model material. Men get picked on if short sometimes
