Ladies, why do you care about celebrities?

I never understood why women old or young, care so much about celebrities. My girlfriend got mad at me because I didn’t think Cameron Diaz or whatever her name is considered “America’s sweetheart.” But why am I going to give a care for someone I don’t know? I’m not a stalker. Or I’ve also seen girls go nuts over male celebrities thinking that they have an actual shot with them. Or like they base their beliefs because of a celebrity. All of it just seems delusional and fake asf.

It's entertainment and characters who are attractive or portray attractive qualities are interesting
