Why are women so worried about their looks?

They are beautiful. No problem getting guys, but still worry on a constant basis. I think we guys should be worried about their looks now being me too groups are around.

In all honesty I think it’s because they don’t want to be irrelevant. When they’re younger a lot of them get the attention from all kind of men. But as they get older that attention diminishes. For women it’s validation. I think it’s hard wired in them. I see a lot of women saying well the patriarchy this, the patriarchy that. Men do this. Men do that. But I think a lot of them are just competing w each other. Sure we like pretty women but that isn’t all there is to it. Many of them say men define what attractive is, but fail to realize they tend to define what a “real man” is. Nothing wrong w their ideas of what a real man is according to them but if a man says this is what I want as far as what a real woman is, now it’s a problem. It’s also the fear of being irrelevant, possibly growing old w out a partner, loneliness, maybe it has to do w culture as well.

I think this is 100% accurate. But I also think that women think these standards are more constraining than men do. A lot of women want to be 'perfect' against these standards. A lot of men just want women to be vaguely in the ballpark.
